First endings not playing and repeats occasionally not working
So i'm trying to upload an arrangement to the song Captain's Table by Heinz Kiessling and in terms of how the sheet music looks, I think it's all fine. But MuseScore isn't playing it back correctly so I wanted to know if I wrote something in wrong or if it's just a bug. I'll attach the score file so everyone can take a look. Thank you!

Here's how the score actually looks on my program, just in case it looks different in the file.
I suspect the problem you are talking about is the volta that starts in measure 31. You have made it last 0 beats so it's ignored as expected. You will want to delete and reenter it. If that's not the problem then explain.

Thanks for the response, but I just replaced it and made sure it had the right amount of beats and it's still not working. Is there a way to go into the properties and edit the amount of beats it lasts for?

Here is my copy fixed captains table.mscz . The only thing I did was delete the first volta and insert it by selecting the three measures it spans and double clicking in the lines palette.

Strange it didn't work on your computer, we're both using version 2.2.1. As a test, you can try to drag it to the first measure to apply the volta. Next, double click the volta, select the square on the right hand end and use shift+right arrow to make it cover the proper measures. What is really strange is the other voltas appear to have worked properly. Unless you just updated the score on line, it was functioning properly also.

where should the start-repeat mark that is the pair of the end-repeat mark in the 20. measure?
should on measure 9 or measure 13?
if it should in the 9th measure: you must remove the end-repeat mark in the 12. measure.
if it should in the 13. measure: you must add an start-repeat mark to that measure.
When I examine the continuation of the score, I see that the same passage is written again in the 35. measure.
Is this part played right on your computer?
I added a sample file, all the repeat-marks should work in this file.
PS: If no repeat-signs is playing, then look at the play-repeats button in the top bar. Is it in the open (on/pushed) state? (should be pushed/open/on)

Thank you, I'll probably just write everything out so it isn't complicated with the repeats. Measures 12 and 39 should have an end repeat sign but I guess the second end repeat was throwing off MuseScore so I fixed that. And no, it doesn't play right on my computer or when I listen to it online. (Also, yes I do have the repeat button switched on). Thank you so much for the help!
