Can the piano roll editor edit note data with drag&drop?

• Jun 11, 2018 - 22:36

I'm using the 2.2.1 version of Musescore, which as far as I can tell will display note data but which provides limited editing options. For example, I cannot drag & drop notes, create new ones or delete existing ones with mouse clicks. I was thinking of maybe trying to compile/extend Musescore myself and was wondering if this was an issue that was still open, or if someone is already working on it?

I suspect I am asking the same sort of question - we need some basic editing tools to simulate how the music is played back. Often musicians have to change hand position in the real world, which creates just a few milliseconds of a gap just before the next note...

A friend of mine showed me how to do this in a midi editor, and it start to sound surpsisingly real, but the side effect is that it ruins the score when imported back in to Musescore.
