MuseScore Making Multi-Measure Rest Symbols When Not Called For (Query)
I’d like to add two extra bars (measures) to the end of my masterscore. When I do so, all staves fill with a single bar containing multi-measure rest symbols. How can I stop MuseScore from doing this, and just present empty bars (measures) that I can then fill with notes?

By disabling the generation of multimeasure rests, press M
They are disable by default for scores, enabled for parts, see also https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-rests#multi-measure-rest

Fantastische! - Thank you Jojo. In experimenting, I found also that I am wrong, notes can be entered into multi-measure rests and these latter then disappear.
