Sharing stave properties
On MuseScore can a single line stave share a series of different instruments provided they're in series (not parallel at the same time). I would like to show Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Cymbal and Tam-tam on the same line if possible, and with an identifying stave comment.

Since all of the instruments are non-pitched percussion, would a mid-staff instrument change work? You can change the actual text any way you like.
You could indeed use the change, but unless you have a special reason to notate like that, I wouldn't recommend it. I think it would make more sense to use a regular 5-line percussion staff, with the different drums indicated on different lines. You can use the generic "Percussion" instrument for this. You can use the "Edit Drumset" option to customize which sounds are represented on which lines, etc.
