MDL Snare Line - Force Right or Left Hand sounds.
The current MDL soundfont and implementation sounds excellent. However, it loses some fidelity with real life when playing sticking patterns such as paradiddles, egg beaters or Shirley Murphys.
I'd like a way to force MDL to play a particular sound, or potentially the same sound, for a group of notes. This would help simulate the real-life effect of various sticking patterns.
This is most important in the Snare Line voice, but useful in all 3 battery parts.

@lasconic @anatoly-os would it be reasonable to create a copy of the lyrics functionality and extend it to support sticking that would trigger a specific MIDI event?
It seems that this would need to be flexible enough that the trigger would be ignored if there no instruments.xml + SFZ installed that would support it.
