Custom Fretboard diagrams

• Jul 11, 2018 - 23:44

I let my frustration get the better of me (my apologies) while trying to understand in the handbook if creating my own custom fret diagrams and saving them for future use is possible. I followed all the directions and completed the steps successfully, accept I just couldn't seem to get the result I wanted. It seems Id have to actually edit them in the score from the provided palette each time. Is that correct? I created a palette that I named in the workspace and I can drag elements from other palettes to it, but what I want is to drag the fret diagrams that I have added and edited from my score to my custom palette. Is that possible? Reason being is I need to make major adjustments to the time signatures and when I do this it deletes all the chords I made, so Ill need to re enter them once I get things set up better. Im still learning the program and don't know much about navigating it.
My apologies for previously changing the title of a question. I have not been a user very long and don't know the technicals yet.

Not offended at all, I’m glad to get any input. Yes I did understand that it will only work in a custom workspace, the command+shift was what solved the issue for my Mac. I was able to get all my custom fret diagrams pasted onto my palette with that command . Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your advice is essential to the initial process.
