Drums creating 16th Notes with Bar lines?
Hi All,
I am new here so hope you can help?
I am scoring 16th notes (Semi Quavers) Dotted in drum notation. But, The bar line is not correct as it is showing two separated notes both = 16th notes and will not add the a joining bar line!
I have watched a videos about 'cutting' rests rather than 'deleting' - sometimes this works but not always.
Example of what i need = (1 e + a) so i need the bar to join from 1 to a (cutting out e +) but to no avail.
How is this done?

Change the beaming mode of the rest in the middle to "do not end beam at this note (or rest).
