Ties over barlines
Never had a problem with this before, but since updating to the latest version of Musescore this morning, ties over bars are not working correctly in score view. For instance, suppose I have a crotchet rest left at the end of a 4/4 bar. I enter a crotchet, and another one on beat 1 of the next bar. When I tie them, the crotchet at the end of the first bar displays, incorrectly as a minim, and the crotchet from the 2nd bar is missing. It looks as though there's 5 beats in bar one and 3 in bar 2! This happens with all ties over barlines, for all note durations. And only since this morning when I updated to the latest version.
Fortunately, the issue doesn't manifest itself in the individual parts - only in the score view - so I can work with it for now. But it would be nice to solve / debug.

I don't see any ties in your picture - just a slur. Generally, it's best to attach the actual score rather than just a picture of it. As it is, I can make a couple of guesses. Either:
1) you have inadvertently enabled the option to "Display note values across measure boundaries", in Style / General
or
2) you have changed the actual duration of those measures (perhaps using the join / split commands in Edit / Measure, perhaps using Measure Properties)
or
3) your score has become corrupt

Thank you for the fast response Marc.
I double-checked that it wasn't 1) or 2) - so concluded it must have been 3).
As such, I started a completely new score and copied the notes data over. And this time it worked as expected. You wouldn't have seen ties in my picture because Musescore was refusing to "give" me the ties - it was just extending the length of the 1st of the two notes to be tied, regardless of the measure duration.
Anyway, assuming the "corrupt score" possibility, starting afresh made the problem go away. Thanks.
