Using MIDI keyboard with another program while Musescore is running

Hi!
I was wondering if there is a way to use a MIDI controller or keyboard, in another application, while Musescore is running. I would like to have the ability to use the MIDI keyboard connected to my computer through FL studio and Ableton while ALSO notating with Musescore. It seems that every time I open Musescore with a MIDI connection, Musescore overrides my other applications and I am not able to listen to audio from my keyboards. Disabling the MIDI input doesn't help. Any assistance in this area would definitely be appreciated!
