All opened scores are automatically downloaded as midi and mxl-files
I'm working with the most recent version of MuseScore, and every score I open in the program is automatically downloaded as midi and mxl. These files are stored in my downloads folder (windows 10 home edition). Is there a way to disable these downloads? I don't need to have all midi and mxl files.

No score will get ever get downloaded as midi or mxl (from musescore.com) unless you specificially ask for that format
Indeed, what you describe should not be happening. Can you be more specific about how you are opening these files, and what makes you think they are "downloading" (are you talking about using a web site, or using MuseScore) as another format?
