Export to FLAC file: Cannot overwrite the file

• Oct 14, 2018 - 12:32

I have always exported a score to FLAC, but after buying a new computer with a new operation system a window pops up stating that it cannot overwrite the file. I tried exporting to MP3, it works fine. However, I need a FLAC file...

Works fine here, MuseScore 2.3.2, Windows 7
Most likely more a matter of the Operating System and/or the file's permissions rather than a MuseScore issue.

The error message sounds like you are trying to save to a file that already exists and you don't have permission to overwrite it - like maybe it was created by a different user, or maybe it is open in another application right now. Just save to a different filename, or into a different folder (maybe you are trying to save to a protected OS folder?)

Actually I choose a different name, so this error message is weird. However I found out why it does not go: The file name has Cyrillic letters. I then saved using only Latin letters and it worked.

How do you fix that? I have always saved using Cyrillic and Latin letters, but now it is not working.
