playback skips a measure
During playback mode, a single measure is skipped; if I start the playback on that measure, it will play through as it should, but if I start prior to that measure, it continues to be skipped.

Can you attach here the score you are having problems with?
Can you please attach the .mscz file so we can try to help?
Meanwhile, I guess you (or someone else) have inserted a volta and maybe made it invisible and set its play count to 0. So check that View => show invisible is checked, then see if the measure has a volta and delete it if it has.
