Lead sheet for marching band

• Nov 13, 2018 - 13:24

In this conversation https://musescore.org/it/node/278137 Claudio Riffero has attached a mscz file with the correct size (on this side of the pond) that should have a lead sheet for marching band (Width 17.78 (cm) Height 12.70 (cm) and the stave, optimal must be 5.5mm high).
Maybe it could become another template, if not already present.

It's hard for me to give you a precise answer, Riffero is a professional in the field. The one attached is his file, the page size settings are 177.80mm X 127.00mm, space setting 1,364. A custom size.
Are the 'official' measures elsewhere as well?
I guess for use with Trumpet Lyre: https://reverb.com/item/5902334-yamaha-trumpet-lyre-with-flip-folio-for…

The difference is subtle, the Odd page margins are at 5.00mm.In the image the comparison.
Perhaps at this point it would be more useful, in the next handbook, to add a paragraph on the standard page formats for the various formations (conductor/orchestra/band etc.).
From Riffero's book:
cm
- A4 21,00x29,70
- A5 (horizontal) 21,00x14,80
- B4 25,00x35,30
- A3 29,70x42,00
- Band 12,70x17,78
- Concert 22,86x30,48
in A4, A5 (horizontal), B4 and Concerto formats, the ideal stave occupies a horizontal space of 18.5 cm including the brackets.
in the text follows the calculation of margins based on formats...
