Increase sound for voice

• Nov 14, 2018 - 06:43

Helo,

I found out that voice under mixer is quite small compare to the grand piano. Normally I would adjust the piano sound to half and the voice to full but the sound for piano is still more obvious. I would add another Instrument for voice. Is there an option to add the volume for voice if I don't want to add another Instrument?

Thank you.

voice under mixer ? You can't adjust volume per voice, just per instrument.
add another Instrument for voice ? Sorry, I don't get that, please elaborate.

Helo JoJo,
This is where I adjust the volume to get my voice preference with the piano at the background not too loud or soft. I found that with double voice at the maximum and half the piano is the right set. If I set one voice to maximum and piano lower than half, it is not that easy to catch the music where there is no singing. Attached is the photo for the mixer setting. Would like to request for this feature to be considered. Screenshot_20181115-082231.jpg

Do you mean for example, that the altos have a low sound compared to the grand piano? If so, I agree. You'll have to continue adjusting the volume in the mixer.

Please attach your score, because I may not follow your thought.

In your picture I see you have two muted (human?) voices and multiple pianos. What are you trying to do?
If you wish to lower the volume of the piano and have a problem with it being too loud , instead of using the mixer, put dynamics (e.g. pp) into your score whenever you wish to hear only one (human?) voice accompanied by 3 pianos. Then change back to mf (or whatever) when there is no (human) voice.
