My first time here; I've been directed to the issue tracker by Marc Sabatella, so here it goes:
I'm suggesting a feature that I call "linked measures", which is: one or more continuous measures, forming a group (like an entire chorus, for example), that will be copied to another portion of the same staff. However, instead of creating a new, independent group of measures, like in a standard copy-paste procedure, this new, copied group remains linked to the original group, so that when any edition is performed in the original, it is automatically replicated in the linked group(s). In addition there should be an "unlink" command that would destroy the link, making the copy(ies) independent, therefore releasing it(them) from following further editions in the original measure or group of measures.
Of course, a workaround would be to manually re-copy the original into the destination(s) every time a new edition is made in the original. However this can be very time consuming and prone to errors, among other things, because of the need to keep track of exactly where the copies are, along the staff.
