When entering notes via the keyboard, i can choose a not, then a(nother) duration, and press the 'plus'-sign in the numerical part of the keyboard to get a tie. According to the manual this should also work for musescore4, but it doesn't.
Workaround: using the mouse and clicking on the tie button. This disrupts the flow no end, and makes entering a score take twice as long.
Comments
If you're using Musescore 4, instead of keying "+" to create a tie, use "T".
And to be clear, this is as documented in the Handbook (e.g., in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/entering-notes-and-rests#ties). Be sure you aren't still looking at the MuseScore 3 handbook.
