ABC Plugin

I have been having trouble getting some ABC files containing a sequence of tunes to work with the ABC Plugin. I tried by removing/adding individual lines of the ABC code to see if I could identify the problem, but with no success. I then used the example file from the ABC standard Section 13.2 Strspys.abc which has precisely the structure that was giving trouble with the other ABC files (but where I was less sure that the ABC was syntactically correct). To my surprise this example file caused exactly the same problem -- no output except a stave with a clef and key signature and one empty bar. This result would suggest that there is an incompatibility between the ABC standard definition and the conversion program called by the Plugin. Have other users of the Plugin encountered this problem, and is there a solution?

I suspect the problem has something to do with the fact that the file contains an overall header for the sequence of tunes followed by the tunes, each of which has its own header. If I remove the overall header and ask the Plugin to convert a single tune the result is quite satisfactory.

Thanks for the information (not mentioned in the short section in the MuseScore manual concerning ABC import). I have also tried using EasyABC to output MusicXML, but it produces separate files for the overall header and each tune, which MuseScore again doesn't like.
