First of all, thank you for this great Christmas present! :-)
I've got some little problems in MuseScore 3:
If I need an elision slur in the lyrics, I used to double click on the "Elision" in Special characters, and then I simply wrote the rest of the lyrics. Now I can't write anymore, I must click on the score, but then the Special Characters palette closes and I must open it again when I need it. In italian there are frequent elisions.

Works for me, while editing a lyrics syllable press F2, double click an elison, continue typing the lyrics

For me no. I can't continue typing the lyrics. I'm on MacOS 10.14.1.
