Dual Voice

I'm trying to write a keyboard 2 part so that it would be patched on the grand staff as treble clef as a strings voice and bass clef as marimba. How can write the keyboard part in musescore so that I can have playback play two different voices for the clefs but have it stay in the same stave and not have to put it into two different instruments. It doesn't seem possible but I figured I would try.

There's no helpful information on that webpage unfortunately. What I mean to ask is how can have in the grand staff the treble sound like strings at the same time that the bass cleff sounds like a marimba without having to create two separate instruments or staves.

You indeed need 2 instruments, here 2 pianos with one staff each. Or use some trickery with channels, similar to violin and trumpet and a staff text's properties to switch

It would be easiest to make 2 instruments, but connect the barlines and put a bracket on them so they look like a single instrument.
