Add measures with alt+shift+b if necessary.
When you enter notes, MuseScore will automatically expand measures to fit the notes and other elements. When a measure will not fit on a line, it is moved to the next line, when the next line won't fit on a page, a new page is automatically created consisting of any measures after the page break. If you want a new page after a certain measure, enter a page break from the Breaks and Spacers palette.
