play piano to create score
I'm trying to get my piano to write the score while I play. Sound comes from piano into musescore, but I can't figure how to "record" on the page.

Do you have note input mode turned on? See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#input-modes. Keep in mind, that MuseScore will always put everything you play onto one staff, so you cannot play both staves at once.
