Mid Staff instrument changes and staff order?

Hey!
I wonder if there is any way to change the order of parts in a score layout mid-score.
For example, I'm writing for a group of musicians where some play woodwinds and brass, and my score layout just goes to garbage when i use the change instrument tool. Either the conductor has to read intertwining brass/woodwinds or I can't prepare the players parts. What to do?
