Adding an option to the Help menu

• Jan 23, 2019 - 02:09

Hi, Gang!!!

Can we add an option to the MuseScore 3.0.1 Help menu???

I'm talking about, specifically, to add the option to open the PDF handbook, which I downloaded from the main web page and now I have into my PC.

How can we do it???

Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!

How would MuseScore know where you'd put the PDF?

We could make this part of the resource manager, download/update the handbook(s) there and that way have a defined place the Help men could point at.

I believe this has been discussed before, but can't find it right now, feel free to sumbit this as a suggestion to the issue tracker

There are some free software for Linux with this option. For example: "Audacity". It uses the "standard" web browser way to access the internal "file:///usr/share/audacity/help/manual/index.html" address. But, it could be configurable to any other internal address inside the PC.

I'm talking about something like that. And it could be a PDF file, like the handbook!!!
