Ability to add different barlines to different parts

If Ctrl+dragging time signatures is a thing, why isn't Ctrl+dragging barlines?

I'm currently working on a piece where the accompaniment keeps repeating while the solo is completely notated. Being able to put repeat marks on the accompaniment but regular barlines on the solo part would be really useful here. I've uploaded an example of what I mean.
