Position Symbol (fretted instruments)

How can I change the length of the position symbol?

I would like to change the end of the line of the position symbol which I have double clicked (blue and handles visible) and which currently ends at the end of bar 41 to end at the end of bar 39 (see attached file).

(Note: the position symbol starts even before bar 39. The end of the line shows a dotted line from the handle to the end of bar 41 and seems to be "end"-anchored there, how can I drag the achor or how could I reposition the "end-anchor"?)
