Carbon 49 USB MIDI controller isn't working on Musescore

Hi. I just bought my Carbon 49 controller today. When I plugged it into the computer and turned on Musescore, I did what I was told: got o Preferences > I/O > MIDI input The MIDI input window was blank. Even after repeated attempted to connect and disconnect the controller, it still did not want to be recognized by MuseScore. What do I do? Thanks!
