MS 3.0.1.5087 quit unexpectedly
Windows 10. Started a new relatively simple piano score. Was adding a horizontal frame next to another frame then added a section break to the first frame. Right about then MS quit and I lost my work (which is why I'm not attaching the file).

You added a section break between 2 frames? I tried that on my computer and it didn't crash. Can you recreate the crash? If so, post a file to start with and explain what you did to cause the crash.
Do you by chance have notes tied from the measure before the frames to one after the frames? I recall a problem with a section break between measures that are tied together, but I can't find the bug report I'm thinking of.

Since the file was lost, I'm not inclined to re-create it in order to try. Just too busy right now. Sorry!
FWIW, though, even after a crash you don't lose work, not more than two minutes' worth anyhow - MuseScore autosaves that often. Next time you start MuseScore it will offer to restore the previous session and just agreed to that. If you accidentally said no already, you can still get that recovered score back as described in https://musescore.org/en/node/52116
