Files have unicode characters in filenames will not open thru double-click/right-click
Running 3.0.2 64-bit version on WIndows 10.
-
Double-click on mscz files that have unicode characters in filename will result in "Load Error", it looks like the unicode characters are not recognized, same issue if right-click mscz file and select "Open with..."; but file will open if filename changed to all ASCII characters. Further, from within application's menu File-Open, the same mscz file will open without problem.
-
Same effect if use command-line to invoke Musescore3.exe, unicode characters not recognized.
Version 2.3.2 does not have this issue.

update:
1. Latin unicode letters work, do not have the above issues.
2. CJK unicode letters are the ones that exhibit issues, "Traditional Chinese" in this case.
3. Mac version does not have these issues.

Please post an example filename that doesn't work.
Please also update to the latest version of MuseScore (3.4.2) and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for responding Spire42!
Basically any Traditional Chinese character in the filename will demonstrate this problem. I have attached two identical sample files, one with TC filename, the other Latin unicode "È". If you right-click the TC file and select "Open with..." MS3 gives a load error, but using the same way to open the "È" file would be OK.
I am running the latest version indeed.

Thank you for the info. In my case, MuseScore3 is the first app that exhibits this problem in Windows.
