Tremolo Between Notes Incompatible With Time Signature Changes

Trying to write a piece for marimba and guitar with lots of trills, if I have a measure with tremolo between notes in the same measure as a time signature change, the tremolo's appearance values go crazy and musescore crashes. Any similar experiences?

It only happens when I add a time signature to a measure with existing tremolo, not the other way around. Not unusable, but annoying.
