Missing feature - deleting a rest makes it invisible? Musescore 3.0.2

• Feb 6, 2019 - 10:53

Hi,

I'm using Musescore 3 with the following specs:

OS: macOS High Sierra (10.13), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.2.20666, revision: 8ca4d2c

and there's a feature from Musescore 2 that I'm missing. When I select a rest and press "delete", I expect that it will make the rest invisible. This doesn't happen anymore in my version of Musescore. Is there any way for me to enable this feature, or if not, would it be possible to integrate it into future versions of Musescore?

I know how make the rests invisible using the inspector. The problem is that I'm missing the speed of being able to do it with one keystroke and my workflow is considerably slowed down by having the check the box in the inspector for every single rest.

I've attached the score that I've been working on where I can't make the rests invisible by pressing delete.

Thanks!

FWIW, it was a pretty unpopular feature. It was intended as a workaround for people who didn't understand that voice 1 rests couldn't be deleted and didn't know about the "V" shortcut, I guess, but in the end it generated lots of complaints,
