Plugin: notenames.qml produces no output.
The plugin notenames.qml unlike the one in musescore 2 fails to add note names to notes in musescore 3. Please fix the problem and add support.

Plugins are not totally working quite yet, but you no longer need a plugin to get note names in MuseScore 3. Just right-click the staff, Staff Properties, Advanced Stye Properties, and select from one of several different notehead schemes.
You need to wait on Musescore 3.0.3, if you're on Windows. For Mac and Linux that plugin works in 3.0.2 already.
