Insert rests and push the score
How can I insert rests into a measure of the music and push the music to the right? Is there a way to do that in Musescore? If it turns out that the music starts on beat 2 and should start on beat 4 for example.

Thank you for answering! I thought there might be an easier way, like inserting a rest and make the music move to the right. But I have found no instructions like that in the manual, you can only insert a whole measure as far as I can see.

Actually, you can insert notes or rests into a measure using "Timewise" note input mode but then you end up with a measure having too many notes and you need to delete the ones at the end or cut and paste them to the next measure, so it ends up being more work than just cutting and pasting in the first place. After all, only you know how many notes you want moved, so only you can get it right the first time.

Thank you! I think the advice to copy, cut and paste is the best suggestion. There are so many questions, but I think the software is a very good program and I am grateful that it is worked on and upgraded! And free of cost, amazing, thank you!
