Ok so I was having the exact same problem, but before it can crash you can open MuseScore settings (I'm running MacOS). In settings, you can unselect the "Start Center" icon, in General Settings.
The Start Center seems to be causing the crash, which diagnostics says is on thread "0 CrBrowserMain Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread." Hope the devs can fix this soon, because the Start Center is kind of important.
