MS 3 does not detect audio output

After fiddling with the missing dll files, I opened a fresh musescore 3 only to find it can't make any sound.

Restarted, reinstalled, restarted again, clicked all the buttons, sound devices have "allow programs to take control" checked

It worked with musescore 2 so I have no idea what to do

In case of interference with other programs, esp. on Windows, go into your soundcard configuration from Control Panel and ensure that the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the Advanced tab of both Playback and Recording is unticked.

I am using windows 7, if this helps
EDIT:

I reverted to factory settings, I unchecked all the "take control" checkboxes from audio device proprietes and it still DOES NOT work

I checked again on musescore 2 and it works perfectly
