Entering Chord Symbols
Entering Chord Symbols using Ctrl+K works ok with normal root notes and numbers but I cannot get the addition of a Sharp or Flat to work as per the hand book, i.e. Fsharp7, Bflat.
Entering a space after the ‘F’ or ‘B’ the cursor moves the next note and the same after the 7. So can assume no space between characters is required. An example in the Hand Book would help.
The Root note case changes as per the handbook but the word ‘Sharp’ or ‘Flat’ does not automatically change to the symbol as the hand book implies.
I have updated to Ver. 3.0.5.5992 and downloaded the latest version of the Hand Book but still have the same problem.
Is this a software problem or am I doing something wrong, any help would be gratefully received.

You're not doing what the handbook says. Space accepts what you typed parses the entry and moves to the next note. If you're not done with the chord symbol, don't press space. # changes to the sharp sign and b changes to the flat sign if they are in a place where they are expected. If you type #a you will never get a sharp sign. If you type a# then the chord will update to A followed by the sharp sign. They look similar but your computer knows the difference.
DO NOT press F2 to open the special characters for a sharp or flat, MuseScore doesn't know how these relate to chords. Use # (shift 3 on an American keyboard) or b (a lower case B) for sharps and flats.
Also, the only accidental you can spell out is "Natural"

Here is where it is described in the handbook:

To be clear - do not type a space, do not type the word "sharp", and do not use the F2 / Special Characters palette to insert sharp signs. Use the symbol on your keyboard that already looks like a sharp sign - "#". On my keyboard, it is right over the 3. And use the letter "b" for flat. This is exactly as documented in the Handbook.
