Can't edit .gp5 files
I was looking for guitar tabs for a cool but somewhat obscure song I like, and the only thing I could find was a .gp5 file. I noticed the tuning was really strange, so I wanted to fix it, and it won't let me. I tried moving notes around, and nothing worked. I can't do anything on it

And where does MuseScore come into play here?
MuseScore can't edit gp5 files, just import them. To edit them you need Guitar Pro
But once imported into MuseScore - thus changing them from Guitar Pro files to MuseScore files, you most certainly can edit them as MsueScore files. So, you mention something went wrong when you followed the instructions on how to change tuning or how to move notes - which instructions were you following, and what specifically went wrong? What precisely did you do, what did you expect to see happen, what happened instead?
