Can't access Page Settings or Style from the Format tab

Selecting Format and then Page Settings or Style from the menu ribbon causes the menu bar to change to white but nothing else happens. Can only get back to a control situation using the ESC key. This happens every time I try to select the style option.

When I try to open Page Settings it looks as if a pop up window is trying to open, I can see this on the WIndows menu bar at the bottom of the screen, but when I try to click on this nothing happens.

I thought it was related to importing a file from Musescore 2.3.2 but it happens even as the first action on a clean start up following the procedure to start a new file.

I have tried a full reboot and clean start but this situation appears to always be there.

Operating System
PC is windows based using Windows 10 Version 1803 (Build 17134.648).

Status active ⇒ needs info

Most likely the dialog opened, but outside the visible screen. Most probably a revert to factory setting brings it back.
