Musescore 3.0.5.21343 note input very laggy on Macos Mojave 10.14.4
Note input on my setup has become impossibly slow! I use a usb keyboard, which worked fine under Musescore 2. The computer is an Imac
If I key in say 16 semiquavers into a 4/4 bar, at a speed of say crotchet = 60, nothing has appeared on screen when I finish, and I have to wait about 15 seconds, then they all appear.
If during this 15 seconds I get impatient and press a number key to alter the note value for the next notes I'm going to enter to say quavers, the note values of some of the semiquavers are changed!
I think the problem is with the usb keyboard or usb generally, as there is virtually no lag if I use the computer keyboard.
Does anyone know how to speed up a usb keyboard on Macos Mojave?

How large is the score? Are you in continuous view?

The score is 6 stave, about 176 Kb at present. There are about 900 bars, but about 75% rests at present as I have not yet entered all the notes in all the parts. 2 parts are complete.
The problem occurs in Continuous and Page view, though I use mostly Continuous.
Having said that, the good news today is that the lagginess has gone, and everything is very responsive! So thanks for your response, but at the moment the problem has gone away. Very strange as I have not done anything, except put the Imac to sleep last night. Musescore was the first thing I used this morning. Maybe that gives it some sort of priority? Does anyone know about these mysteries!?
