A Couple Suggestions

I have a couple of requests to make for Musescore, mostly concerning the soundfont.
First thing is the brass instruments. The tone quality doesn't change at all between ppp and fff-it just gets louder. It would be better if the sound had a "brassy edge" to it somewhere in the forte-fortissimo range.
Second thing is the tam-tam. I'm a percussionist myself, so I know what I'm talking about when I say that the tam-tam sound Musescore has was NOT recorded on a tam-tam. Sorry.

Let me finish by saying: LONG LIVE MUSESCORE!!!

Not sure which soundfont you are using, but as far as I can tell the default does change timbre over the course of the different dynamics. But as mentioned, you can always substitute a different one if you prefer a more pronounced change. See the Hanbook under "Soundfonts" for more info.
