Save default guitar tunings
I have a few different tunings I like to play with, is there a way to save these so I can just switch to them easily without having to manually change each string so the tabs match what I'm playing?

I'm working on creating an instrument that is an Acoustic Guitar with Open D tuning. I don't see how to set the pitch for each string. File attached.

Check the instruments.xml that comes with MuseScore for an example

I've created /home/allelopath/Documents/MuseScore3/instruments-guitar-alternate-tunings.xml
(attached)
Then in MuseScore, I go to Edit>Preferences>Score and add this file as Instrument list 2
Then I restart MuseScore.
The I create a new Score with Guitar Tablature/Treble Clef
Then I click select the Tabalture Staff Properties
I click Change Instrument
I do not see my new instrument.
What am I doing wrong?

Because there's no Tablature definition I guess. Again, check the instruments.xml that MuseScore provides and look for an example there.

Thanks. Is there a MuseScore startup message log to consult to see if it tells of error when reading the xml files?

-d maybe. But that would at best detect syntax error, not non-sensical values
