The repeat previous bar(s) symbol isn't working (the % symbol). I use Windows 10.

1) I went to the Master Palette with all the symbols and typed "repeat" in the search box. The barline, measure, and accidental repeats all showed up.

2) I dragged a single measure repeat from the palette into the score with an empty measure. The previous bar doesn't repeat and is entirely silent. The symbol looks like it's just pasted into the measure (every time I put the symbol there, it's in a different spot).

I tested a few things with it and I found:
it doesn't matter if other notes are in the measure
placing it over a multimeasure rest simply pastes the symbol on top of it
placing the symbol on top of a whole rest VS on the measure doesn't do anything
it doesn't work with the double bar or quadruple bar repeats

Again, it looks like the symbol is just pasted on to the page, without a function. In my score, I want to put this in the battery parts because it would save a lot of space and ink.

The score you attached doesn't have a measure repeat symbol in it anywhere.

My best guess it you found the measure repeat symbol in the master palette which is generic. There is a measure repeat symbol in the repeats and jumps palette that functions. If this doesn't help attach a score with the measure repeat in it so we can investigate further.
