I'm working on a new series of piano tutorials and I found that MuseScore would be a great tool for this purpose if there were some additional options to control the appearance of its screen keyboard.

  1. Key Labels

The key labels for the c-note-positions might be helpful in many cases, but sometimes, such as making screen recordings, I'd like to switch them off as well.

  1. Marker for the Middle-C-Position

On modern keyboards we usually find a little marker right above the middle c-key. For those who'd prefer to permanently switch off the key labels, this would be necessary to have it as an alternative option.

  1. Highlight the Keys

In highlighting the keys while playing I'd very much appreciate to have two options:

a) using a single custom color, such as the current default blue

b) using the track colors of the mixer settings (channel related)

This would additionally allow us to show the key assignment (left or right hand) for piano players.

Since I do not have enough experience in c-programming, I hope you'll find my suggestions useful and any one of the developers will be inclined to implement them at some opportunity.

Thanks a lot
