double click the volta (1st time bar) click the end you want to move and use shift+ arrows to change where it ends. Voltas always cover complete measures.
It's always best to adjust all lines using the method I described. It prevents layout issues when the endpoints on the line change pages.
One thing I did mention to fix your issue, it's best to apply the line properly to begin with. Use a selection block to select where the line is applied (pedal, volta, cres. line...) and double click the line in the palette to apply it.
