Automatic MuseScore updates (using Sparkle), should remove translations updated in any previois release, at least if that MuseScore update got the latest translations merged in.
I'm talking about the *.qm files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore3\locale\ on Windows, ~/Library/Application\ Support/MuseScore/MuseScore3/locale/ on Mac, ${XDG_DATA_HOME:-~/.local/share}/MuseScore/MuseScore3//locale/on Linux.
