New text boxes forgetting settings made in Inspector

  • Create a staff text box, and type "arco" or something.

  • Change the placement to "Below" or change the font size.

  • When clicking out of the Inspector any changes are forgotten and the text goes back to default.

(Hopefully someone else hasn't posted this! I'm a noob to the community sorry... You guys do an amazing job)

Are you exiting edit mode before you make changes in the inspector? Changes to the text while in edit mode are only made using the text edit toolbar that appears at the bottom of the MuseScore window.
