Cross-staff accidentals
Please see fragment (ms file attached). I've put the left hand part into the upper staff for clarity; it's fine, except... There are three Bb's on the same line, so only the first should be marked. But the left-hand one provokes a repeated flat accidental, which I think is wrong. Is this a bug, or what?

The way it works currently, accidentals are processed relative to the actual staff, not the apparent staff. It would indeed be nice to change that, but due to the way this is processed, not as easy as one might like. See #54366: Cross-staff notes ignore accidentals.

OK, it's known. Thanks -- I can see why correcting it could be a seriously big job, and I can kludge round it. (Simplest is to make the 3rd one a B-natural ^_^)

select the redundant flat sign and press v to make it invisible.

There are two problems with this: (1) I'm an occasional user. That means that I understand how MS works, and find it immensely useful, but I can't remember literally millions of keyboard combinations. (2) Actually here there is another accidental at the same time position, so that would work, but if there weren't, I don't expect making the accidental invisible to correct the spacing as though it were not there. So the (printed score!) kludge of a B-nat would work better...

Either works. I prefer proper playback and live with bad spacing, you may prefer better spacing and bad playback, and that's fine. I was only pointing out another option. If you want both, you can reduce the leading space before the affected note to remove the extra space, but this gets quite tedious if there are a lot of these.

Instead of using keyboard shortcuts for toggling visibility, you are welcome to use the checkbox in the Inspector instead. Also, if you find "V" or some other shortcut not sufficiently mnemonic, you can customize them in Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts.
