Musescore not playing notes as written
When I play my score, the 1/8 note runs are sounding as if I wrote a dotted 1/8 followed by a 1/16 note.
Trying to resolve the issue, I have:
1) downloaded several other scores and they sound incorrect.
2) listened to them online and they are incorrectly played.
3) uninstalled Musescore and re-installed it but it has the same problem.
4) re-written the score from the generic template and it didn't help.
Not sure how to proceed. Do you have suggestions?

You have swing turned on somehow. If you can't figure out how to turn it off, attach your score and someone will fix it for you. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/swing for more info.
sounds like (pun intended) you have Swing playback enabled
uninstall/reinstall only in very rare cases fixes anything, reverting to factory seting much more often. I'm not aware of any global swing setting though that you might get rid of that way, those are per score settings, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/swing
