Tempo Markings in Score

Oftentimes it is appropriate to list tempo markings at the top of the score but also somewhere else in the score (e.g. above the first violins). I feel like this is something that is pretty common, but I can't figure out any way to do it except a fairly tedious workaround (insert two tempo markings over each other, drag the one down to inside the score, and go in every part and make one of them invisible--it works, but it's a pain when you have lots of parts and/or lots of tempo changes).
