move a note 1 value to the left
I changed the 1st whole note into a quarter note, so far so good.
now I want to move the 2nd half note 1 note left and change it into a dotted half note
is the IMPOSSIBLE in musescore??
how do You change the value without eating the notes behind the original note??
can not find any documentation on This, at all.

To move anything anywhere - one note or twenty, left or right, one beat or seventeen measures - the answer is the same: cut and paste.
To change value of something, click it and then select a new duration. No other notes will move. if you want them to move, see above: cut and paste however many of them want to wherever you want them to move it.
