Single Note Dynamics Issue

• Oct 8, 2019 - 04:51

Hi, Gang!!!

I use MuseScore 3.2.3 in Ubuntu Studio 19.04 (64 bits Linux).

As I had lot of audio problems (not necessarily related with MuseScore), well, I decided to uninstall and re-install all the PulseAudio system and now most of the problems were fixed.

Now, I can use the full Single Note Dynamics capability of MuseScore, (using the included MuseScore_General.sf2 soundfont file, with the "Expressive" option, of course)

BUT... As you can see in the very wonderful masterpiece I included with this issue (Hi, Hi, Hi!), I cannot to be absolutely sure if this characteristic is working so fine in the second part of each instruments (the part without the slurs).

In the first part (Oboe very long note with slurs), the effect is very noticeable, yes. But, in the second part...

It is just my idea that it is not working fine? To me, it seem each individual note has its own flat dynamics level, without a gradually change.

Worst and related with the last paragraph: The timbal tremolo part doesn't show the effect at all. As the prior oboe second part, each note has its own flat dynamics level, without gradually change!!!

In other words: a long note with tremolo doesn't follow the single note dynamics.

Is it a known bug?

Or... is there something wrong with my ears?

BTW: The effect is not noticeable with other soundfonts and I don't understand why!!! If this is just about a MIDI parameter, it should be work with any soundfont, but... I need some extra "light", here... Please!!!

Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!
